The name Popeye Village, which translates to Popeye the Sailor\’s Village in English, was built in 1980 for the filming of Popeye the Sailor. Here you will find houses, playgrounds, movie sets, cinemas, restaurants, souvenir shops, and beaches from the movie. Gozo is the second largest island in Malta and is quiet. Visitors can enjoy nature walks, cycling, and sunbathing on the red sandy beaches of Ramla Bay.
